2023:  The UL Sports Arena has a 50M x 25M Swimming Pool and when it opened in 2002, it was Irelands first Olympic sized swimming Pool.  In 2023, the original Metal Halide HighBay lighting was replaced with 48 new VeeLite LED HighBays.  These are installed and switched so that only 50% are switched on most of the time.   The electrical switching arrangement allow higher or lower light levels depending on requirements.   The adjoining Sports Hall includes Basketball Courts, internal running track and spectator areas and are also illuminated by VeeLite HighBays.  For further details, click here.
