PLAZA LIGHTING

Wands

Plaza Lighting with Wands or Light Columns is an ideal method.  These are manufactured with an LED optical module in the top section, which provide suitable light levels to the correct standards at night time, but during day time the appearance is minimal in comparison to a conventional lighting system.  Available up to 4m Height and with high performance LED optics, this Light Stick type fitting certainly packs a punch.  The Aluminium Base and Top Cover can be painted to most RALs and the Clear Lens is made from sturdy Polycarbonate.  The Flanged Base can be hidden by Paving or Top soil.  Alternatively, Versions with frosted Lens have less functional light output, but a greater night-time visual Effect.

Other variations on this include integral solar panels to provide the lighting power, smart-city versions which include various features such as Wi-Fi, CCTV camera systems, floodlighting options, loudspeakers, noise or air monitors, etc.  Bollards can also incorporate some of these features.

Floodlight Options

Another option is Poles with an Array of Floodlights, all presented in an architectural style.  The system is flexible offering different height Poles and quantities of Floodlights.  Shields or Curved Poles are offered as options and the system is customisable.

Other Options

Alternative systems include Decorative Street Lights or Bollards, including Stainless Steel Bollards, of various heights which is the traditional and well-established method of area and Plaza lighting.  In smaller Plaza areas, an illuminated handrail system or an LED strip (possibly incorporated into Street Furniture) caould also be considered.
