Wands / illuminated Lighting Columns

VeeLite’s illuminated Wand Lights are shaped like Columns or Light Sticks with a plastic illuminated Tube on top and a Metal base underneath. Functional lighting was limited with the older Wand versions. The 6 Stainless Steel illuminated Wands supplied to the Dun Laoghaire Library in 2014 were mainly for architectural effect as a result of the tall illuminated white tube. The light output was small and restricted to the immediate vicinity of the Wand.

Wands with Optics

The Newer versions of this Light (eg. Blackrock/Frascati Project) contain high efficiency LED optics in the top of the Light tube, which results in an efficient area lighting solution, especially if the tube consists of clear lens. The night time visual effect is still there, but a good compromise of Form and Function is achieved. This has enabled these Wand Luminaires to be used as Architectural Area or Streetlights and is ideal for Plazas, pathways, perimeters, etc. A wide variety of Optics is offered depending on the application.

Other variations on this Product are available (eg. Maidenhead photos) in which the entire Product is constructed from Aluminium. The top section narrows to a blade and LED optics are contained within the top section. This Product offers higher robustness but less architectural effect as there is no illuminated lens.

All Wands are generally offered in Rooted or Flanged Version, and with an option of various heights, or with different Proportions of Lens Versus Base for different effect.
