Decorative Streetlights

With Conical Tapered Columns and integrated Streetlights, these Photos show decorative Local Authority Street Lights in the Stillorgan area of South Dublin. The main road Streetlighting is complimented by smaller matching Streetlights which illuminate the separate Pedestrian track. This Project was undertaken by South Dublin Local Authority. The brackets between the Streetlights and the architectural conical Pole is designed to provide a seamless discreet connection.

For Local Authority Street Lighting projects, VeeLite offers both Photometrics to Lighting Engineers to design their own lighting schemes, or alternatively a lighting design service, where VeeLite will provide the lighting scheme to the relevant public street lighting standards and in the format required by them. For example, South Dublin County Council‘s typical public lighting Specifications are shown on their website. Many Councils have their own version.

The centre of Dunshaughlin, Co Meath has a Retail Centre and car parking area. The entrance road and carpark areas are illuminated with the same decorative conical LED Streetlights and matching conical Poles, including mid-way Brackets. Providing efficient LED lighting at night time and attractive appearance during day time, the Project provides an optimum street lighting solution. Some Landscape and Wall illumination was achieved using LED Groundlights.

In general, the Lighting Poles are installed along the edge of the Footpath, furthest from the Public Road, and have only 1 LED Streetlight on top. However, where suitable, a second LED Streetlight is installed midway up the Pole, and pointed backwards to illuminate an adjacent Car parking or Pedestrian area.
