The ideal lighting in Retail Stores is decorative HighBay Lighting.   Sufficient Height is needed, typically 5M or 6m to get the advantages of LED HighBay Pendants.   Where LED HighBay Pendants are installed, the room is generally uncluttered and minimal compared to other types of lighting. Photos shown a variety of retail buildings including a Hardware Store, Garage Showroom, Cafe, etc where Decorative HighBays have been installed. 

A Decorative Highbay can often be an LED HighBay with a dropped translucent Lens.  This Lens is highly efficient but has the additional advantages of attractive appearance, providing uplight and reducing glare, when compared to a standard LED Highbay.  Store Operators receive regular positive feedback from Customers who comment on both the high level of  lighting, but also on the attractive decorative appearance of these lights. The problem of dark ceilings is eliminated and helps give the room a bigger and brighter appearance.  Typically, the upward light component is 10%.
