Car Showroom Lights
Car Showroom Lights should provide both good internal lighting for visual inspection of Cars but also this lighting should enhance the visibility of the Building from a distance, especially as Car Showrooms are usually located on busy roads with many potential customers passing each day and night.
The car showroom lighting shown here is achieved with only a few overhead HighBays. These are Softbay Luminaires which use a prismatic reflector (refractor) system which directs most light downwards but provides approx 15% uplight ensuring the entire room is illuminated. The Ceiling and Metalwork are bright and have become a feature. This is in contrast to standard HighBays or Downlighters etc which would leave the Ceiling substantially darker and the Walls darker and with patches of darkness.
There are other advantages of this system:
- Minimal installation initially, and minimal maintenance and energy usage over the lifetime of the Project.
- Typical lifetime of 50,000 to 100,000 hours on LED Softbays.
- Attractive appearance of Softbay (Note current Softbay is smaller than version shown in photos).
- Due to the Refractor, the Softbay has minimal or no glare, in comparison with most LED Highbays, Floodlights, etc.
- Minimal clutter in comparison to high light levels achieved.
The Luminaire is ideal for general or Car Showroom lighting or general retail lighting, typically from 6m height and upwards. With LED optics to 200w, the Luminaire is highly efficient.
