2025: The first Net Zero Energy supermarket in Ireland has opened in Maynooth in Co Kildare.  The external and Carpark lighting for this LIDL store was supplied by VeeLite and includes both conventional LED Streetlights and also 9 Solar powered Streetlights for pathway lighting as shown in the photos.

Designed in partnership with the Irish Green Building Council,  the Building roof and the large Canopies (see photo) contain an extensive array of solar panels which total 575 kWp. Further details on the RTE website or
